Tax Geaks Foundation serves seniors and low-income families, and our website is built for the people we serve. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us; it is the design.

What we do

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. On this site, that includes:

Large, readable text (18 to 20 pixels or larger for body copy) with strong color contrast
Large buttons with descriptive labels that say exactly what they do
Alternative text on images for screen reader users
Full keyboard navigation and a skip-to-content link
Simple, consistent page layouts and plain language throughout
Forms kept short, with clear labels and no time limits

Ways to get help that don't require the website

Known limitations

Some third-party features we rely on, such as our donation processor, scheduling tool, and online course portal, are controlled by outside providers. We choose providers with accessibility in mind and pass along feedback when their tools fall short.
